Professional Experience
Mary E. Granville has been appraising real estate in Massachusetts since 1978. She began her career when she worked for Charlestown Savings Bank (New World Bank) as a residential appraiser and mortgage loan originator. In 1979, Ms. Granville continued her career at Frank D. Pietroski, MAI, Appraisers and Consultants, Inc. in Hingham, Massachusetts, as a staff appraiser. She completed residential and commercial appraisals, including several condominium master appraisals, service stations and industrial appraisal assignments.

In 1980, Ms. Granville opened The Appraisers Collaborative, a full-service appraisal firm conducting valuations of residential, commercial and industrial properties in eastern Massachusetts. Since its inception, The Appraisers Collaborative has grown into a well-respected firm associated with several certified appraisers.

Ms. Granville has earned the SRA designation from The Appraisal Institute and the MRA designation from The Massachusetts Board of Real Estate Appraisers and is a Certified General Appraiser from The Commonwealth of Massachusetts. She specializes in appraisals for the purposes of financing, divorce, bankruptcy, and insurance litigation, as well as asset valuation litigation.

In 1998, Ms. Granville received the William D. Stewart Award for outstanding contributions to the Massachusetts Board of Real Estate Appraisers (MBREA). She is a qualified expert witness in Concord, Middlesex, Norfolk and Suffolk District courts. At Bentley College, she taught appraisal courses for several years and has been a guest lecturer at Stonehill College, Northeastern University and at the Greater Boston Real Estate Board Council. Additionally, she has volunteered on the Massachusetts Board of Registration compliance committee.

Mary maintains an ongoing commitment to professional training in order to stay at the forefront of the most current appraisal standards and practice.
