About the Appraisers Collaborative

Webster’s defines “collaborative” as “a group of people working together in a joint effort.” At the Appraisers Collaborative, a team of highly qualified and talented appraisers take that definition literally, as they work together as a team to produce high-quality appraisals for you.

Mary Granville, Owner and President of The Appraisers Collaborative, started the company in 1980. At that time, the company employed two appraisers and served a few clients in the Boston area. Now located in Braintree, the company has expanded to 6 appraisers who travel throughout Eastern Massachusetts and service a varied client base.

In addition to over 40 years of professional appraisal experience, Ms. Granville has served as the 1989-1990 President of the Society of Real Estate Appraisers-Eastern Massachusetts Chapter 51. She has also served as Director of that organization. In addition, she was the 1992 President of the Massachusetts Board of Real Estate Appraisers and has served on several of its committees including: Planning, Program, Education, Review, Admissions, Womens Council and Nominating Committees and is a member of the compliance committee for the Massachusetts Board of Registration of Real Estate Appraisers. Mary has been inducted into the MBREA Appraisal Hall of Fame. She was the 1999 recipient of the William D. Stewart award for outstanding contribution to the MBREA. She holds the SRA and MRA designations and is a certified general appraiser from the State of Massachusetts.
